Emma the Tulip Fairy Princess

Stage 4: Emma's golden crown and tulips are embroidered. Butterflies watch her sprinkling tulips in her mother's garden.


Stage 4: Appliqued and trapuntoed butterfly.

Stage 3: Emma's cloth tulip dress is sewn and fitted. Her golden hair is embroidered. Her her checks and lips are painted in.

Stage 2: Emma's body has been quilted in trapunto style. Her vivid blues eyes are embroidered. Her appliqued tulle wings have then been shadow quilted to give them additional form.

Stage 1: acrylic on cotton - I painted only the basic shapes, the rest will be done with fabric, embroidery, and quilting

Emma's fairy wings will be tulle.
They will be created similarily to the treatment of
the Koi Among Water Lilies sunset
