When Jan Holden saw Crescent Moon over Siesta Key, she commissioned Moon Dance. After meeting with Jan, we collaborated on the design of the quilt. She wanted a small, narrow piece with dolphins playing in the surf along the shore of Long Beach Island, NJ. The moon beams and waves are highlighted in white, turquoise, and dark blue metallic thread. Pearls and crystal beads create the feeling of bubbles in the surf. The dune grass is outlined in silver metallic and there are two silver sand dollars and a real shell on the beach. For commissioned quilts contact clvquilts@yahoo.com.
