The pets are waiting for their 'peoples' to come home from work and school. The sidewalk has chalked in hopscotch and tic-tac-toe games. In the flowerbed of the left side row house, there's a sign that reads "Garden Tours 5 Cents".

Spring Street hung in the Art/Quilt Magazine booth at IAQ in Houston November 2000. I created it on our sailboat Fandango while we cruised the Chesapeake that October. (Check out the photo of me quilting on board on my resume page.) One of the reasons I tend to work in small dimensions is that my pieces must be very portable since we travel by boat often.

Judges Comments:

"Very realistic looking piece. Applique embellishments add interest. Quilting design enhances piece." - Jan Rindge, NQA Certified Judge, Quilts Along the Bay, September 2001
